| The National Team - Introduction | ||
In
2005, Robert made the move to formula cars competing in the Formula BMW
USA series as well as contesting the Sunoco Ron Fellows Championship. That
year he would be crowned King of The Bay and win the overall ICC championship
(SRFKC) while taking third overall in the Formula BMW series. That year
he would also win a special event at The Race of Champions held in Paris
and then have an impressive run at the Formula BMW World Finals in Bahrain
that earned him a spot with the powerhouse Red Bull Junior Team.Wickes would go on to win the 2006 Formula BMW USA Championship and is now racing with Team Red Bull Forsythe in Champ Car Atlantics. It now appears that lead driver Mike Vincec will be following in his shoes as his performance has caught the eye of several teams in the Formula BMW USA series. Mike has recently signed a development deal with Toronto-based Jensen Motorsport through the 2008 season. And with the depth of talent on the current team, Cameron Motorsports hopes to attract even more attention from top North American and international teams. The Cameron Motorsports National Team provides excellence in teamwork, camraderie and driver development with championship performance the ultimate goal.
