CMI initiated the Canadian Rookie Karting Championship (CRKC)™ in 1994. The successful racing development program currently has over 2000 members that compete annually at our facilities. The CRKC™ Series is an important part of the motorsport ladder system introducing motorsport enthusiasts to the sport of karting. The CRKC is an inexpensive way to begin your racing career. Prime Powerteam is located at the Canadian Mini Indy Karting Complex and takes rookie racers to the next level. It fields a National Team of elite drivers and tuners that compete in various Regional and National events. The Race Team has proudly earned numerous Regional and National Championships, in both Canada and the United States. It has also trained and developed some of Canada’s top professional racers – most notably Indy Car driver Robert Wickens.
The Canadian Mini Indy Karting Complex is also home to the Hamilton Regional Kart Club (HRKC). CMI was also host the 2007 ASN Canada FIA National Karting Championship, as well as numerous regional events through the years, most recently the Champion Ron Fellows Karting Challenge..
